You can receive fukuzasa, or lucky bamboo leaves, and buy good luck charms such as koban coins and tai (sea bream) from a fukumusume, or lucky maiden.

Procedure for paying homage

We asked for a general procedure for paying homage at Imamiyaebisu Shrine.

Bow once and pass under the Torii archway.

Wash your hands and mouth at Temizuya.
- Hold the dipper in your right hand, pour water on your left hand first, and then wash your right hand.
- Pour water on your left hand again, rinse your mouth, and wash your left hand next.
- Finally hold the dipper upright and let water run on its handle.

Make two deep bows in front of the sanctuary. Clap your hands twice. Finally, make another deep bow.

There are variations; some shrines require four hand claps. There is no hand clapping at temples.

Make a bow when you leave via the Torii.

Unknown Osaka spots recommended by spirited Osaka natives

Awarded the gold prize 23 times at the All Japan Band Competition

Attended All Japan Band Competition 32 times, of which they won the gold prize 23 times. It is amazing that music classes are not part of the school curriculum and yet he trained students who had previously never even touched any musical instruments to gold prize level performers. He directs practice seriously when the students are not very serious, while the students love him because he is “amiable and interesting”.

You can enjoy music with your eyes as well in the Symphony Hall

New members play instruments of their choice. You won’t have to practice any instrument if you don’t like it. Some children practice until late on weekdays. Many performances are scheduled on weekends. So I end up with no days off. I take a break while walking along the riverside of Yodo River near school. I feel refreshed. It’s my healing spot.
The Symphony Hall, where we will have a concert (*) in January, is equipped with seats from which you can observe the movement of the conductor or the hands of the pianist. You can look at the music and enjoy it. Please do come once.
