| Currently the rivers surrounding the center of the city, a rare sight anywhere in the world, are being recognized as "water corridors". Various projects are in progress to regain the vivacity of the river and waterfront including improvement of boat landing places and illuminations all around the riverside. "Aqua Metropolis Osaka 2009" is being held as a symbolic event to spread the message of Aqua Metropolis Osaka revival far and wide. |
