The Osaka Fan Club (formerly name: Osaka Etoko Club) was founded by the "VISIT OSAKA Campaign Steering Committee", made up of people from the Osaka Municipal Government and the Osaka Convention & Tourism Bureau (OCTB), etc, to improve the image of Osaka and make it more attractive to visitors by enhancing and expanding city promotion. The Osaka Fan Club is an online fan club which can function worldwide through use of the Internet. The Osaka Etoko Club began accepting members on July 7 (Fri), 2000. Hoping to provide better tourism information, the name of the club was officially changed to "Osaka Fan Club" in April 2005. Anyone who is interested in Osaka can register on the Osaka Fan Club website. Members are provided with the latest Osaka tourism information on seasonal events, entertainment, dining and accommodation. Member are provided with information through our monthly member-exclusive e-mail magazine "Osaka Fan Club". The Club also plans to provide members with various types of presents. A multi-lingual website and e-mail magazine are being set up to accommodate visitors from overseas.
